Words from the Founder and Executive Director!
I hope this message finds you well and you still buzzing with the excitement from our recent Spring Spectacular event. On behalf of the Squash on Track team and myself, I extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you who joined us over the weekend. Your presence, support, and enthusiasm truly made the event a resounding success.
Tournament Results!
The Spring Spectacular was not just about squash matches; it was a testament to the strength and unity of our community. Witnessing everyone come together to raise awareness and essential funds for our program was nothing short of inspiring. Whether you were a participant, a spectator, or a donor, your contribution played a significant role in furthering our mission.
There were lots of great matches and great sportsmanship on show. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you look upon it, Team Richard; consisting of me, Sura Mansi, Moorthy Natarajan, Ashraf Whaba and SOT student Ameir took first place...Next year, I'll let someone else assemble the teams!! Second place went to Team Jimmy; consisting of Jimmy Li, Andy Guo, Eli Abbe, Kyvan Chen and SOT Student Kevin.
Fundraising Results!
I'm thrilled to announce that, thanks to your generosity, we've exceeded our fundraising goal by raising over $10,000! And the good news doesn't stop there—additional donations and company matches are still rolling in. These funds will be put to excellent use, including the acquisition of a larger SoT passenger van. As our program continues to grow, it's essential that we can accommodate all of the children who wish to participate.
Special Shout Outs: Major fundraisers!
A special shoutout is in order for those who went above and beyond in their fundraising efforts: Matt Shang, Mihir Jham, Sura Mansi, Vivian Lee, and Ryan Cheung. Your dedication and commitment to our cause are truly commendable.
Thank You!
As we bask in the success of this year's event, I can't help but look forward to what the future holds. With your unwavering support behind us, I have no doubt that next year's Spring Spectacular will be even bigger and better. Together, we'll continue to make a positive impact on the lives of the children in our community.
With much appreciation,
Richard Elliott
